It's my 100 post party and I'll give away gifts if I want to!

Uncovering Food has been up and running for almost a year. After a slow start, I finally feel like the blog has begun to form an identity. Food has become so complicated and confusing. Low fat, low carb, high fiber, transfats, high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, gluten free, vegan, raw, organic, sustainably grown, cost conscious, salmonella, antioxidants, 100-calorie pack, free range, omegas, probiotics, whole wheat... while some of these terms are as old as food itself, the truth behind many of them can be downright confusing.

At the 100 post milestone, I feel, as any good educator should, that it is time to evaluate and assess my work. To set new goals to acheive and improve. And if you keep reading, there is a chance for you to help!

My personal goal is to provide more informative articles that help readers uncover more of the truths behind the food buzz. I also want to take readers on an exploration of more foods that are off the beaten path. But I still plan on sharing healthy low calorie recipes and fabulous product finds.

Here's how you can help! I am hosting a 100-post giveaway for one lucky reader. The box will benefit your body both inside and out. While the gifts for inside the body are some of my favorite foods (I will also include a One bar if I get another shipment in time!), I'll fess up that the gifts for the outside were a gift I was recently given. But now they can be yours!

Goodies for the Inside
1 6 oz jar of Vintage Vine Shiraz Jelly
1 100-calorie pack Blue Diamond Raw Almonds
1 100-calorie pack Emerald Walnut and Almond Blend
1 Orange and Cranberry Gnu Bar
1 box Krusteaz Cranberry Orange muffin mix
1 TLC Pumpkin Pie Bar
1 Chocolate Brownie Cliff Z Bar
1 Chocolate Chip Cliff Z Bar
I was also gifted this book with dozens of brownie recipes. Since brownies are not my dessert of choice, I can't vouch for the book. However the pictures are fabulous!

Goodies for the Outside
Mission Gallery Blueberry Scent Candle
The Body Shop Sugar and Spice Shimmer Soap
Victoria's Secret Romatic Wish Shower Gel (8oz)
Victoria's Secret Romatic Wish Body Splash (8oz)
Victoria's Secret Romatic Wish Body Lotion (8oz)

How do you win? There are plenty of ways to earn entries!

1. Leave a comment on this post (only comments on this post will be counted) with either a topic or food you would like covered by Uncovering Food. If have any additional suggestions or assessments, toss those in as well! Please make sure your email is either in your profile or I have a way to contact you if you win.

The first way is the only way to access all of the other entry methods. Also, if you do earn additional entries using the methods below, please let me know!

2. Follow Uncovering Food by clicking on the box to the left for THREE additional entries! If you are already a follower, remind me when you post below and you get your three entries!
3. Tweet on Twitter up to once a day for an additional entry.
4. Follow Uncovering Food on Twitter for another TWO entries. If you already follow Uncovering Food, remind me down below for your two entries!
5. Link back to this post for another entry per blog post that links.
6. Add Uncovering Food to your blog's blogroll for another TWO entries.

This contest will run for two weeks and will end on April 27th at midnight. Every entry will be assigned a number and I will use the random number generator at random.org to select the winner. The winner will be announced on the 28th here at Uncovering Food and on Twitter.

Disclaimer:

I get asked by readers if I am being paid to push products. The simple answer is no. In fact, most of the products I write about are ones I have found and purchased during my trips to the grocery store or on the road. Occasionally, a company will send a sample my way and if I believe the product will serve a need for my readers and I would buy the product myself, then I will share it with you. Sometimes I will write to a company after reading about it, if I believe it will help us lead healthier lifestyles. But even then, if the product doesn't pass my scrutiny, it won't make the screen of Uncovering Food. You can trust that every product or recipe posted here has passed through my lips, and that I wouldn't blog about it if it wasn't worthy of you... my favorite readers.
